I love to read and investigate how I can continue grow, and for about 10 years I have been a dedicated self-help, self-improvement junkie. Until the past year, I would often think to myself, "I don’t have time for fiction or imagination, I have to find out the practical tips and techniques and just apply them. " My thought was that serious introspection was the way...the only way to growth.
I would think to myself, "how is using my imagination going to help me with anything?"
Whoops. I know now that I was mistaken.
I have learned that exploring my imagination has brought play into my life. Play brings aliveness, and with it possibility, an expanding view of reality, and that is fun and fuels me with desire and inspiration for more.
I know that finding the balance between play and thoughtful introspection is vital and without it, I'll be only way to Burnout Central and that is just exhausting.
Watch below as I share one of my experiences with imagination and where it is taking me.
How often do you engage your imagination? What part of your life are you being pulled to use more of your imagination? Tell me about it below.
Give yourself permission to flex that muscle and develop it. We all have the capacity to tap into a universe of imagination…we’ve just got to lean in and allow it to have a voice.
