I don't know about you, but I grew up playing school sports, so I grew up with this hunger to be the best. I ran cross country and did gymnastics, and naturally I wanted to work my hardest and be the best I could be.
Perhaps you had the same desire...whether it be in school sports or other ventures.
I do still see healthy competition as fun and acknowledge that a competitive nature is natural and totally cool....but I've also seen where it takes over and shuts a person down from moving towards their dreams.
In many matters of life, a competitive drive can actually lead to a downward spiral of frustration, judgment, and limited thinking.
As they say, perspective is everything. And so today I want to share my perspective on the creative versus the competitive mind and ask you...what is your default?
I'd love to know if this example resonates with you.
